In juli 2016 presenteerde het kabinet een lijst van zestig bedrijven die ‘eerlijke kleding’ verkopen of dat binnen de komende drie tot vijf jaar willen gaan doen. De bedrijven beloofden in een textielconvenant de arbeidsomstandigheden substantieel te verbeteren en het milieu en klimaat zo veel mogelijk te sparen tijdens het productieproces. Dat betekent bovenal: geen kinderarbeid.
