Driven by her curiosity at just 18 years of age she decided to convert and within a year her hijab had become a part of her not to be ignored anymore: meet Jorien, a.k.a. Tres Adorable. Originally from Meppel, Jorien was the first converted woman I met for the project. She told me all about her childhood and how she finally found herself within this religion.
Jorien is now married and lives with her husband and two cats, whom are frequently the main characters in her "social media life". As a young entrepreneur she is the face behind Tres Adorable, a blog all about fashion, beauty, lifestyle, cooking….it's actually a little bit about everything that plays a role in her life :) Not only does she blog, she also makes the most amazing pieces of jewellery, she loves being behind the camera and enjoys cooking and good food.
We had a great afternoon together, talking about many things, life in general and how her hijab plays a role in hers now. For me it was a very new experience to hear the true details of how and why she converted.
